VALENTINE‘S DAY AT OUR RESTAURANT Schlossschänke

A FOUR COURSE MENU TO FALL IN LOVE WITH

 

Was Prince Metternich a romantic? Everything points to this, because why else would he have marked one of his Riesling Wines from Johannisberg with red sealing wax?

This wine whose capsule shows the color of love opened this year’s Valentine’s Day menu and was the perfect match for the salmon served with beetroot and wasabi. The menu continued in red, with a delicious tomato velouté, followed by tender roasted veal fillet wrapped in bread. Bronze- and Silberlack and a strong Pinot Noir rounded off the composition. With candlelight, elegant laid tables and a magnificent view over our vineyards and the Rhine, our guests could perfectly enjoy the evening.

In order not to lose the red thread, chocolate mousse with raspberry sorbet was served in the end. The pleasant sweetness and juiciness of our late harvest was an excellent pairing to this, and the color of the capsule was again a perfect match: green like hope!
