Top rating in Wine Advocate for Schloss Johannisberg

The renowned Wine Advocate awarded the Schloss Johannisberg Blaulack 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese 99 points in its current issue. It also gave two 98-point scores to Schloss Johannisberg Goldlack Riesling trocken 2019 and Purpurlack Beerenauslese 2021, which makes this year’s collection from Schloss Johannisberg the highest-rated by Wine Advocate yet. “This result is another great confirmation of our quality course”, said managing director Stefan Doktor, “this recognition is an encouragement for our team and the further development of the winery.”

Wine Advocate taster Stephan Reinhardt wrote about the Schloss Johannisberg Blaulack 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese: “The golden-yellow 2020 Schloss Johannisberg Blaulack Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese shows an enormously concentrated, honeyed and spicy bouquet of wholemeal bread, stewed stone fruit (apricot) aromas and candied lemon zests…A fantastic wine for future generations.”

Also Schloss Johannisberg Riesling trocken Ex Bibliotheca Subterranea 2019 was highly rated with 96 points. Stephan Reinhardt: “… this is a pure, intense, and very elegant, enormously energetic and compelling Schloss Johannisberg with intense, very long and mineral finish that reveals very fine bitters on the aftertaste…”
