Hyuk & Hyo Lee: Piano

Rising Star Sibling Duo on the Piano
They play the piano, violin, and chess, speak several languages, and perform at grand galas hosted by European presidents: The two brothers, Hyuk and Hyo Lee—who have long been considered rising stars in South Korea—are now making a name for themselves in the European music world thanks to their multifaceted talents. They gained international attention through their participation in the Chopin Competition. As the recipient of prestigious awards, Hyuk Lee impresses both as a soloist and as a chamber musician and passionate chess player, while his brother Hyo Lee—who has also received numerous awards—complements him on stage with lyrical sensitivity and remarkable pianistic technique. In their Johannisberg duo recital, entertainingly hosted by Karmen Mikovic, they explore a wide stylistic range of sounds, spanning from classical music to jazz.
