In 2024, wein.plus introduced a new wine competition: the \u2018GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS\u2019.<\/p>\n
All wines that meet the respective varietal specifications can be entered – regardless of origin, vintage or flavour. There are five categories: Silvaner, Gr\u00fcner Veltiner, Burgundy varieties, Blaufr\u00e4nkisch and Riesling. The awards are presented in the categories of Grand Gold, Gold, Silver<\/em> and Bronze.<\/em> We took part with some of our wines and are proud to present the results to you.<\/p>\n Now a few of our wines change colour for a short time. Yellow seal \u201cGelblack\u201d and red seal \u201cRotlack\u201d become silver; green seal \u201cGr\u00fcnlack\u201d, silver seal \u201cSilberlack\u201d and bronze seal \u201cBronzelack\u201d become gold. But we don’t want to confuse you with all these colours. What counts is the award and the recognition for our work that it brings. \nThe best result was achieved by our 2023 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Rosalack Auslese. This sweet wine combines intensity with lightness and won the Grand Gold<\/em> award. It is not without reason that our vineyard manager Stefan Doktor has a tongue-in-cheek nickname for the Rosalack: \u2018The fist in the velvet glove.<\/em>\u2019<\/p>\n
